Synergy for social cohesion
Supporting more resilient and cooperative local dialogue systems in Rwanda
This project contributes to greater social cohesion and peace in Rwanda by supporting more resilient and cooperative local dialogue systems in Gasabo, Musanze, Nyagatare, Nyanza, Rubavu and Ruhango districts.
Conflict prevention has now been embedded into local structures across the six districts, thereby creating processes that encourage a culture in which conflicts are addressed before they degenerate into violence.
We are now building the capacity of local officials and civil society partners to ensure that national reconciliation, social cohesion and the consolidation of national unity and peace are also fully integrated into local systems.
This is a one-year project, which began in April 2017.
