Peace Talks is a panel discussion series organised by International Alert.
The series looks at current themes and developments around the world affecting peace, providing an interactive platform where people can discuss and challenge big questions about peace.
In the past, we have covered a variety of topics including the role of diaspora communities in peacebuilding, how the arts and storytelling can enable communities to heal and grow past conflict and the management of natural resources to promote economic prosperity and national peace.
Beyond that, we have also hosted discussions on how the creation and preservation of peace can be affected by several factors, including technology and data, urban conflict, corporate interests, the media, the stability of neighboring nations, natural disasters and international aid.
Previous panellists include journalists, politicians, businesspeople, academics, activists and spokespeople from other charities and civil society organisations.
