People-centred approaches to security sector reform in Lebanon

This video shows the highlights of our conference, ‘People-centred approaches to security sector reform in Lebanon’, hosted by International Alert and the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies (LCPS) in Beirut on 14 November 2014.

The aim of the conference was to present, share and debate our research on the challenges facing the security sector in Lebanon with security officials, experts and civil society activists. Part of our 'People and security in Lebanon' project, the research looks at issues including the Syrian refugee crisis, gender issues, joint efforts to reform the security sector with civil society organisations, and public relations in the security sector.

The conference was funded by the European Union and under the patronage of H.E. Mr Nohad Machnouk, Minister of Interior and Municipalities.
