Climate and Peacebuilding Advisor
Svenja is an experienced advisor and trainer on environmental peacebuilding. At International Alert she works in programming on climate, natural resources, and peace, supporting country teams in project management, analysis, training and providing strategic direction on the above topics.
Before joining International Alert in 2022, Svenja worked for the Peace Mission of the Organisation of American States in Colombia. She has eight years of experience in training development and delivery inter alia at the Center for International Peace Operations and the Austrian Centre for Peace.
Svenja is a trained mediator and holds a master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University.
