Paul Nyulaku joined International Alert as Country Director, Nigeria in February 2022. He leads Alert Peace building programmes in Nigeria and the wider Lake Chad Region.
Paul is a Peace, Security and Justice professional with extensive experience in policy communication, research, design and implementation of Peace building, Disarmament Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR), Stabilisation, Security Governance and Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) programmes.
Prior to joining International Alert, he was Conflict Adviser at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Nigeria, DDR Expert, AMISOM- deployed under the EU Africa Peace Facility, Community Management Specialist, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and taught Peace and Security Studies at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Paul has a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan and is an Alumnus of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP).
