Manisha Dhakal

President of the Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities Nepal (FSGMN)

Manisha Dhakal is an LGBTI rights activist from Nepal. She is a transgender woman and her gender pronouns are she/her. She has been involved in Nepal’s LGBTI rights movement since 2001 and was the first trans woman in the Nepal Country Coordinating Mechanism of Global Fund.

Manisha is currently serving as the Executive Director of Blue Diamond Society (BDS) and President of the Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities (FSGMN). She is one of the founding members of the Asia-Pacific Transgender Network and former Co-Chair of ILGA Asia Board.
