Irina Ulmasova-Olive

Former Regional Director, Eurasia

Irina worked with International Alert as the Regional Director for Eurasia between 2021 and 2024. She has a legal background and more than 20 years of professional experience in protection, peacebuilding and conflict resolution programming in countries under the Eurasia regional portfolio.

Irina has also previously worked in Africa, the Middle East, south and southeast Asia, where she has opened new country offices and started regional programmes to support refugee crises and humanitarian inclusion work.

She speaks English, French, Russian and Tajik languages. Aside from being a humanitarian, Irina is a solution-focused coach and mentor.
