Dorina Prech
Dorina has been a Project Manager at International Alert’s Kenya and the Horn of Africa team since August 2022.
She is a seasoned policy, advocacy, and peacebuilding professional with over a decade of experience in Kenya and the Horn of Africa. She has project management experience in thematic areas, including governance, peace and security, gender equality, and preventing and countering violent extremism.
She was previously a Project Manager with Drylands Learning & Capacity Building Initiative, a Policy and Advocacy Officer at Frontier Counties Development Council, and a Co-Team Leader for Mediators Beyond Borders—Kenya. She also belongs to various peacebuilding networks and platforms advancing Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) around the world.
Dorina holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy from the United States International University—Africa and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Security from Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya.
