Director of Resource Development (maternity cover)
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to provide leadership in growing and diversifying our income.
You have several years’ successful experience of fundraising for development and/or peacebuilding. You are experienced in designing projects and raising funds through both grants and contracts. Ideally, you have worked for NGOs and for-profit consulting companies – and certainly for either one or the other – and you have experience of working in consortia.
You have a talent for expressing clearly how International Alert contributes to change in complex environments, and for communicating this information to donors through pro-active donor relationship management and fundraising.
Managed by the Executive Director, and serving on the Executive team, you will manage a team of fundraising experts and lead the implementation of plans to increase funding from institutional and other funding sources. You will hold relationships with all our core donors and play an influential outreach and fundraising role with other key donors. This is an influential position with the potential to add enormous value to our work.
Note, the above include some of the requirements for the job. For the full job requirements, please read the job description.
