This project aims to improve the response to and prevention of gender-based violence (GBV) in three districts of Mogadishu: Bondhere, Karaan and Yaqshid.
We believe that if the response to GBV in Mogadishu is backed up by sound knowledge and understanding of the issue, as well as holistic services and targeted advocacy, then incidences will decrease and survivors will be more likely to seek and receive better support. There will also be more comprehensive policies and strategies for addressing GBV.

This project supports women and their role in peacebuilding and development in Burundi and strives for women's needs and concerns to be reflected in Burundi's current Poverty Reduction Strategy.
More than a decade of violence has contributed to widespread poverty in Burundi. As the country starts to rebuild itself, we believe women can work together to influence the process and monitor steps towards peace.
