We worked in Colombia between 1999 and 2019.
Our work focused on mitigating the conflict risks and impacts of the growing number of national and multinational extractive companies operating in the country.
This included strengthening the capacity of companies, governments and local organisations to better understand conflict and engage with one another more constructively. We also provided support to businesses on how to operate in a conflict-sensitive way.
Our aim was to help build better relationships between businesses, state agencies and NGOs, to reduce the potential negative impacts of the extractive industry on local communities, to integrate conflict sensitivity into company and state policies and practices, and to support local civil society on issues related to business and human rights.
