Edith Khalife

Edith Khalife is a Senior Project Officer at International Alert Lebanon. She joined the team in August 2023 following her initial role as a Field Coordinator. She brings broad experience in education, capacity building, and stakeholder coordination.
At International Alert, Edith supports the development and implementation of education and social cohesion initiatives across Lebanon. She works closely with civil society organisations and education stakeholders to strengthen the role of teachers in promoting social cohesion and inclusive learning. Her work involves designing and delivering training, developing learning tools, and providing follow-up support to educators working in crisis-affected settings.
Her focus areas include conflict sensitivity, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and education in emergencies (EiE). Edith also plays a key role in monitoring progress, facilitating collaboration among partners, and ensuring that initiatives are responsive to local needs.
Before joining International Alert, she held senior roles in the education and HR sectors, where she focused on training, staff support, and institutional coordination. She is recognised for her ability to foster meaningful relationships across sectors, build trust with local actors, and support sustainable change within fragile and divided communities.
