People and security in Lebanon
Promoting people-centred security sector reform
This project further developed the ability of the Lebanese security system in controlling risks and guaranteeing respect for the rule of law, to help them ensure greater security and stability for citizens.
We believe that security sector agencies and other relevant stakeholders in Lebanon should be better informed about public security needs and support inclusive ways of addressing these.
By improving security institutions' understanding of public perceptions of insecurity, they will be better able to respond to these needs and promote a better understanding of security sector reform within the security system.
In doing so, security agencies can become more effective and transparent.
