Gender, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant

International Alert is committed to become greener, more diverse, equitable, accountable, and inclusive organisation by the end of 2022. The GDEI consultant will perform analysis on staff feedback on GDEI issues within our organization and lead on setting up the new organisational steering committee for Gender, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (GDEI) which will promote and facilitate any necessary changes and new policies.

To ensure that we are meeting our duty of care, International Alert is undertaking a process to review our policies and create internal conversations around inequality, marginalization, discrimination, lack of diversity and inclusion. These conversations as well as the GDEI committee will help International Alert identify gaps and, in turn, create action plans to address any needed changes or additions. As a follow-up, the GDEI consultant will develop a GDEI roadmap as well as review our Audit/People Policies.

The preferred consultant will have experience with working with INGO’s and proven experience in building inclusive systems and policies. Experience in delivering policy, HR, change and diversity projects and programmes is also essential, as well as knowledge and understanding of workforce diversity and inclusion.
