Coordinator – Conflict Sensitivity Hub

International Alert intends to engage a Conflict Sensitivity Hub Coordinator, to join the DRC team.

The Job holder will be responsible for the overall implementation of the CSH, they will have oversight over both the master budget for the CSH and all its nested individual donor budgets, and over the master workplan for the CSH as well as the master log frame.

They are responsible for ensuring that the CSH is on track with its forecasted activity implementation, milestones and targets in the log frame and budgeted spend. Throughout implementation, they are responsible for leading the process of making adjustments and reallocations where required to maintain the project’s momentum, in line with opportunities and changes in the operating context, and to ensure that the CSH meets all its donor and contractual requirements.

This is a senior management position within Alert’s DRC programme and reports directly to the DRC Director of Programmes (DOP).

The CSH Coordinator also has the overall responsibility for the quality assurance of all products that the CSH shares with clients and donors, manages donor relationships, and is responsible for ensuring the reporting is carried out on time and that donors contributing to the CSH have the opportunity to feed into its strategic orientation.

Essential qualifications for this role include: extensive experience in implementing large and complex projects in consortia and with several international and local partners; 10 years of professional experience in strategic programme management and advocacy; specifically strategic decision making of complex programmes on issues in DRC or in a similar context.

The successful candidate will require the ability to work effectively in complex, politically charged, unstable environments, and across different cultures.
