In Colombia we work to mitigate the conflict risks and impacts of the growing number of national and multinational extractive companies operating in the country.
We strengthen the capacity of companies, governments and local organisations to better understand conflict and engage with one another more constructively. We also provide support to businesses on how to operate in a conflict-sensitive way.
Our work helps to build better relationships between businesses, state agencies and NGOs, to reduce the potential negative impacts of the extractive industry on local communities, to integrate conflict-sensitivity into company and state policies and practices, and to support local civil society on issues related to business and human rights.
We have been working in Colombia since 1999.
