1990-cı illərin əvvəllərində başlamış Dağlıq Qarabağ münaqişəsi keçmiş SSRİ ərazisində ən təhlükəli və proqnozlaşdırılması çətin olan münaqişələrdən biri olaraq qalır. Münaqişə “dondurulmuş” olsa da mübahisəli Zonada beynəlxalq sərhəd və təmas xətti boyunca mülki şəxslər və hərbçilər həlak olmaqda davam edir.

This policy brief aims to inform state institutions, practitioners and donors working on prevention of violent extremism with youth in Lebanon.
The focus of this report is how men and masculinities in Afghanistan have been shaped by – and themselves shape – conflict and peacebuilding, and what this means for the implementation of the women, peace and security agenda.
This rapid assessment assesses the conflict impacts on gendered expectations on people with disabilities in Kachin state in Myanmar, with a particular focus on masculinities.
This policy brief argues that understanding masculinities is important, because these masculinity norms – these social expectations – can be mobilised to manipulate the taking of violent actions. It also argues that conflict analyses and interventions that overlook this gender dimension are incomplete, and risk missing important entry points for peace.
This report aims to analyse social norms, their construction and their implications, at the household and community levels, from a comprehensive gender analysis perspective, considering the different impacts of conflict on women, men and those with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities (SOGI) in Myanmar society.
This paper looks at the experiences of delivering the three-year European Union-funded project called 'Strengthening Women’s Role in Peace' (2016–2019), in partnership with the Peace Training and Research Organisation.
This paper seeks to explore the history, aims and delivery record of Afghanistan’s National Action Plan (NAP) on the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 on women, peace and security, in order to place in context a model for broadening its implementation.
This report aims to analyse conflict, armed actors and peacebuilding efforts from a comprehensive gender analysis perspective, considering the different impacts of conflict on women, men and those with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities (SOGI) in Myanmar.
This policy brief examines community perspectives on how the National Policy on Unity and Reconciliation in Rwanda can be utilised by decision-makers, to address not just the existing gaps within the policy itself, but other conflicts and tensions that continue to hamper unity and reconciliation in the country.
Zindagii Shoista is a workshop series designed to help promote harmony within families and reduce violence. By considering wider family dynamics when working with local communities, it aims to create a socio-economic environment that enables women to enjoy greater protection from sexual and gender-based violence, with a focus on violence against women and girls.

This study outlines the conditions that are either conducive to or that would prevent consolidating political – and public – will to let business function both as an economic and a public diplomacy actor in opening the ‘Ingur/i gate’ for legal business.
This exploratory study seeks to find out whether there are indicators of susceptibility to violent extremism thoughts among the Syrian youths that participated in Basmeh & Zeitooneh’s Peace Education programme and whether the programme enhanced their overall resilience.
Projects around prevention of violent extremism in Lebanon and globally are common; however, exactly what impacts they are having is not entirely clear. This research critically assesses PVE programming targeting youth and its underlying theories of change.
To this day, the Nagorny Karabakh conflict that erupted in the early 1990s remains one of the most dangerous and unpredictable conflicts in the entire post-Soviet space. Expanding on the peacebuilding work carried out by various organisations and individuals around this conflict over the past 25 years, International Alert has conducted a study to highlight possible alternatives to war, ways of transforming the conflict proposed by the societies themselves and potential new approaches to peacebuilding.
The Conflict Alert 2018 report highlights the threat of violent extremism, its origins and implications on the Bangsamoro peace process and in establishing long term security and development in the region.
