Research Director Consultant – Tunisia

International Alert is looking for a Research Director to lead and coordinate a research on youth and urban violence in popular areas of greater Tunis.
This consultancy is part of a project that aims to strengthen the democratic transition in Tunisia through the promotion of human rights, the fight against institutional, physical and symbolic violence as well as gender violence, and all other inhuman treatment perpetrated against young adults between the ages of 18 and 34 living in poor areas of Greater Tunis. The project covers the neighbourhoods of Ettadhamen and Douar Hicher.
The consultant needs to have an advanced degree in social sciences. Having experience in leading research and research team coordination is necessary as well as fluency in French (written and spoken).

Kindly note the assignment will be based in Tunis with frequent travel in Ettadhamen and Douar Hicher.
