In Somalia, we help to address gender-based violence and support more conflict-sensitive development.
We promote a greater understanding of the links between conflict and social gender norms in the country, with the aim of improving responses to and prevention of gender-based violence. This includes in-depth research and practical training. We also work with development partners to help ensure economic development projects encourage peace rather than further exacerbating conflict.
Our work is important in helping to improve the lives of ordinary Somalis after decades of conflict and instability.
We have been working in Somalia since 2013.
