Board Trustee (multiple vacancies)

We seek to maintain a diverse Board including Trustees with a wide range of backgrounds, skills and experience. We are particularly looking for Trustees with senior level experience in corporate leadership, government and politics, academia and think tanks, and resource development and fundraising. Prior engagement with the non-for-profit sector would be helpful, as would previous Board experience – engagement, professionally or personally, with global issues of peace and conflict also a strong positive.

All roles require being committed to International Alert’s mission and values, an ability to work effectively as a member of a team, and a willingness to devote the time and effort necessary to perform this role. Alert’s Board currently meets four times a year in London for one day. As per Charity Commission guidelines, all trustee positions (including the Treasurer and Chairman) are non-executive and remunerated on an expenses only basis.
