This is a summary of an external final evaluation that assesses the Reconciliation and reintegration project (RRP) that operated in Rwanda from 2007-2016. The RRP aimed to support the reintegration and reconciliation of survivors, ex-prisoners, ex-combatants and youth through community dialogue, psychosocial support, and socio-economic activities.
The evaluation found that the triumvirate model of psychosocial support, dialogue and microfinance work is conducive to social cohesion, trust and mutual respect. Therefore, it is the conclusion of this report that concurrently implementing these programs helps to increase the propensity for reconciliation and social cohesion.
