Advisory Consortium on Conflict Sensitivity
This project was designed to assist the UK Department for International Development and its partners in strengthening the potential of the Peace, Recovery and Development Plan for Northern Uganda (PRDP).
The PRDP is not only an important response to immediate post-conflict issues but is also crucial in eliminating the big discrepancies in development between the north and south of the country. In order for it to truly support sustainable peace in Uganda, it must be comprehensive and conflict-sensitive.
The Advisory Consortium on Conflict Sensitivity aimed to help ensure the PRDP – and those implementing it – addressed the causes of conflict and contributed to sustainable peace, stability and development in northern Uganda. It was formed with the support of DFID and was led by International Alert, the Refugee Law Project and Saferworld.
