Project Coordinator, Tunisia
Location: Tunis, Tunisia
Duration: 18 months
Closing date: 20 February 2018
We are looking for a project coordinator to join our Tunisia team. You will have a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent organisational skills, together with knowledge of peacebuilding challenges in Tunisia. The post requires frequent communication and liaison with partners and external stakeholders, so excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential.
The post holder will support the management implementation of the project “Promoting youth-centered inclusive local development,” that Alert is leading on, under the supervision of the Programme Manager, who holds overall management responsibility for this project. The goal of this project is to develop, test and promote alternative, innovative models of local economic development and inclusive social governance by supporting a youth-led local development agency to act as an incubator and advocate for new ideas. Main activities will take place in the suburb of Ettadamen and groundwork will be laid for a future phase in Douar Hicher. The project is responding to ongoing problems of inequality, poverty, and social exclusion in marginalised areas of Tunisia.
Note: The above are some of the requirements for the job. For the full job requirements, please see the job description.
