Finance Manager - London

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join the finance team of International Alert in London, with offices in 20 counties and a portfolio of £20 million.

You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Finance Officer with the financial strategy. The role will be responsible for management of organisational policies and procedures, producing the monthly management accounts and the cash flow forecast, monitoring and supervising organisational and team/programme budgets as well as preparing annual accounts and financial statements.

You will also have the opportunity to build strong and lasting relationships across the organisation while managing and developing the finance team.

The successful candidate will be at least a part-qualified accountant and have previous experience of financial management with an international NGO. They will be an excellent communicator who can readily speak with a range of staff members on financial matters.

With an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to identify practical solutions to make organisational developments feasible and sustainable, you will be a team player and be able to build the kind of relationships, both internally and externally, that will gain cooperation and constructively ensure compliance.
