Director of Finance & Operations
Salary: £65,317 plus excellent benefits
Contract: Permanent, full-time

The Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) ensures Alert has the sound financial management and robust operations needed to deliver its mission, leading on all Alert’s organisational budget planning and management, audit, compliance, human resources and infrastructure functions. They will serve as a member of Alert’s global Executive Team and be expected to play a key role in strategic and operational decision making.
The DFO will be responsible for developing and monitoring the organisation’s annual budget; undertaking forecasting and reforecasting as needed; ensuring that the organisation remains compliant in terms of both its finances and its operations; and practices inclusive, responsive human resources management. As Director, they will present the annual budget to the Board of Trustees and represent on budgetary, compliance and regulatory issues and will be expected to take part in appropriate networks and external events relevant to managing finances and compliance in the non-governmental and aid sectors.
