Peace is within our power. Together we can make a difference in building a more peaceful future.
There are so many ways you can get involved, whether it is by supporting one of our campaigns, attending one of our events or raising money to support our work.
No matter how you choose to get involved, you will be helping thousands of people rebuild their lives after violent conflict.
Let's get peacebuilding in the dictionary
Warmonger, despot, brutality, warfare – all of these words are in the dictionary, and for good reason.
It’s important to have the words to express the world around us, particularly those related to violent conflict. But it’s also important to be able to talk about how we can build peace.
Although ‘peacebuilding’ is a word used by governments, institutions, businesses and peacebuilders globally, 'peacebuilding' is not in the dictionaries.
Tell the dictionaries it’s time to change this!
Demand the UK tackles violent conflict now
Wars are on the rise around the world – in 2016, more countries experienced violent conflict than at any time in nearly 30 years.
Right now, the UK government is finalising their new ‘Global Britain’ strategy, which will determine our relationship with countries around the world for years to come.
If you live in the UK, email the Foreign Secretary to ask him to include our 10-point plan for ending violent conflict in the ‘Global Britain’ strategy.
This is the time to stand up for people whose lives are being destroyed by conflict. Help us break the cycle of violence.
