The Gender and Peacebuilding Programme at International Alert, having been centrally involved in the lobbying for and development of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (October 2000),as its framework for action. Consisting of two interrelated projects, Global Policy and the Gender Peace Audit, the programme builds on the achievements of the global campaign Women Building Peace: From the Village Council to the Negotiating Table, launched by International Alert in May 1999.

Global Policy

The Global Policy project aims to influence and shape global policies affecting women's peace and security through integrating an informed gender perspective into policies and practice.
