Dear Colleague,
Welcome to the January edition of Alert's e-bulletin.
Reflecting
on the disaster in Haiti, this month we discuss a new business model
for humanitarian assistance. We also concentrate on our new programme
in Lebanon, our work in Northern Uganda and Nepal, and we analyse the
insidious nature of conflict itself.
You
can also find out more about our upcoming events and listen to a series
of interviews with Alert’s experts on radio station Passion for the
Planet.

SUPPORT US

|
Make peace your priority in 2010
Make
your new year’s resolution to help us build peace. It is only with
support like yours that International Alert can continue its work in
over 20 countries across five continents. There are lots of ways to get
involved:
- Set yourself a new challenge. We have limited places available for the first ever Brighton Marathon
on 18th April and the British 10k London Run on 11th July. Or you can
run for us in an event of your choice and we’ll support you all the
way. But if running is not your thing, you can also support our runners!
- Having a new year clear out? Sell your items through ‘eBay for Charities’ and you can donate a percentage of the sale price (or all of it!) to International Alert.
- Build peace every month by setting up a regular gift. Monthly donations are so important as they help us plan our work into the future.
- New year’s resolution to diet or quit smoking? Strengthen your resolve by getting sponsored. Contact us for a personalised sponsor form.
- Attend an Alert event! Watch this space…
