Resilience in the face of crisis: Rooting resilience in the realities of the Lebanese experience

This report examines the resilience of Lebanese communities in the wake of the Syrian refugee crisis.

It advocates for strengthening the resilience of Lebanese communities across the country with the explicit understanding that this resilience is not merely the ability to adapt to worsening circumstances, but a developmental investment in and strengthening of marginalised communities. It is about becoming equipped with the skills, infrastructure and resources that allow them to proactively address adversities in ways that can reduce future vulnerability.

The report is part of an action-research project implemented by International Alert with the Permanent Peace Movement.
