Understanding Conflict and Fragility - Implications for Policy and Practice

Interventions in conflict contexts, no matter how well intended, sometimes do more harm than good. This training will show you how to analyse conflict situations, improve the peacebuilding potential of interventions and avoid adverse consequences.

Course dates - 26th to 28th November 2013, London.

ENTRi - Conflict Analysis & Conflict Sensitivity

The aim of the course is to enable participants to use their skills, competencies and experience to conduct a conflict analysis and to devise conflict sensitive approaches to civilian crisis management.

Course dates - 4th to 7th November 2013, Greater London.

Understanding Conflict ‘Training for Peace’

International Alert’s Training & Learning team is offering a new training course to practitioners in the peacebuilding and development sectors, especially those engaged in the delivery of peacebuilding training.

Course dates - 7th to 11th October 2013, Nairobi.

Universities

We deliver courses to university students at all levels, introducing them to the core skills for working in conflict.  The exercises are interactive and engaging adding a practical aspect to their academic knowledge.  Our clients include:  Kings College London, London Metropolitan University, the University of East Anglia and University of York, Post-War Reconstruction and Development Unit.
