Interns

Currently there are no vacancies available

Interns at Alert
Alert has a number of graduate interns who spend a six months internship with one of our programme teams. These are full-time positions and work ranges from providing support to programme staff with administrative work to research and organisation of events.

We very much value the work of our interns and try to ensure that their skills and abilities develop during their time with us. They are given the opportunity to gain insight into how an international NGO operates and to learn about the peacebuilding sector and Alert’s work within it. They receive an allowance of approximately £12,000 per year pro rata.

How to apply for internships
As with all positions at Alert, internship vacancies are advertised on our website and require an application from each candidate. Please note that we do not accept general applications or CVs that are not tied to a specific internship vacancy. If you would like to apply for an internship at Alert, please:

  1. Read the job description/person specification and guidance notes
  2. Download and fill in the intern application form
  3. Download and fill in the equal opportunities monitoring form
  4. Return the application form and equal opportunities monitoring form by post or, preferably, by email to:
